The Rips off Cape May are loaded with striped bass. Many boats and crews are getting their limits. Most if the fish weigh from the teens to between 20 and 30 pounds. The fish are biting on live eels or spot, plus chunks of bunker and clam. Welcome to The Press of Atlantic City 2009 Fishing Contest! To enter the contest you must fill out the information on the Submission Tab. If you would like to view all the submissions hit the Approved Submissions tab.

Entries will be accepted from April 1-November 30, 2009.

Women
Youth Freshwater (Under 15)
Youth Saltwater (Under 15)

The contest is also broken into 3 different segments to keep things exciting! These contest segments are sponsored by local bait and tackle shops. All entries into the contest are automatically entered into the segments. The dates and categories are:

Spring
April 1-June 21 (11 weeks)
• Freshwater
• Youth (Best Catch)
• Striped Bass

Summer
June 22-Sept. 20 (13 weeks)
• Flounder
• Offshore (outside 3 miles)
• Inshore (boat inside 3 miles bay, river)

Fall
Sept. 21-Nov. 30 (11 weeks)
• Striped Bass
• Bluefish
• Weakfish
